Sushant Singh Rajput is no more and many tweets streamed in soon after his demise

Tuesday, 16th June 2020

The very popular Balaji Telefilms soap ‘Pavitra Rishta’ booked for him a place on the small screen and soon he made it to the big screen with movies like Kai Po Che (2013) and Chhichhore.

He was talented, young and good looking and could have reached higher on the ladder of success as an actor…Yes, it’s about Sushant Singh Rajput; the 34 year old brilliant actor from Bollywood who was found dead in his flat in Bandra. He had hanged himself to death on Sunday and today he is no more between us. Police thinks that this is a case of suicide but no suicide note could be traced until now. The entire country is shocked at the news of his demise

Apart from the movies like ‘Kai Po Che’ and ‘Chhichhore’ the actor was also seen in other movies like ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’, Netflix movie ‘Drive’.

Soon after the news of his death broke out, the social media was flooded with several pictures of the actor among which some are thought to be quite "disturbing and in bad taste" and in a tweet against such posts, Maharashtra Police commented last night that such social media posts "are liable to invite legal action" and therefore "should be deleted".

One of the tweets from the State Police Department read: "A disturbing trend has been observed on Social Media platforms by Maharashtra Cyber that pictures of deceased actor Shri. Sushant Singh Rajput are being circulated, which are disturbing and in bad taste (sic),"

In another Tweet, the police said: "It is emphasized that circulation of such pictures is against legal guidelines and court directions, and are liable to invite legal action,"

Those who have circulated such pictures were asked to remove the pictures at the earliest.

Urmila Matondkar, an actor turned politician tweeted a similar kind of appeal. She said: "Deeply disturbing n disappointing to see d irresponsible n insensitive projection of d pics n gory details of #sushantsinghrajpoot Empathy n Compassion towards serious public mental issue #sucide is needed not this sensational reporting. Let's leave some dignity in death (sic)".

The actor’s team and fellow mates commented: "It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work like they have done so far. We request media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief."

PM Modi too expressed his condolences on the young actor’s untimely death through a tweet that read: "Sushant Singh Rajput...a bright young actor gone too soon. He excelled on TV and in films. His rise in the world of entertainment inspired many and he leaves behind several memorable performances. Shocked by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and fans. Om Shanti".
