10 Indian army soldiers were released by China on Thursday evening after a big clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley.
“Ten Indian Army personnel including two Majors were released by the Chinese military on Thursday evening following three days of negotiations, people familiar with the development said”, PTI reported.
The Indian Army and People's Liberation Army of China had talks at Major General Level and an agreement on the release was made on Thursday. The talks focused on the restoring the normalcy in the area while disengaging the troops.
Officially, nothing has been announced on the release as of now.
The Indian army stated, “It is clarified that there are no Indian troops missing in action”, and the soldiers had been “accounted for”. The Chinese troop attacked 76 Army personnel on Monday of which 58 suffered minor injuries and 18 were critically injured. They are being treated at a hospital in Leh while the 58 with minor injuries are getting the treatment in various different hospitals.
