Ginger with honey kills viruses and germs that spread infections. Ginger’s medicinal properties with honey’s anti-inflammatory nature can be both soothing to your throat as well as act as immunity boosters. The duo works as an expectorant and clears up sinuses, capable of cleaning mucus and irritants which are responsible for throat itch.

Materials required:

Honey, grated ginger, flour, olive oil, paper towel, tape and gauze.

·Mix honey and flour to make a consistent mixture.

·Add grated ginger and 3 drops of olive oil.

·Put it on a paper towel or napkin, place it on chest and tape it before going to bed.

(Note: Apply it to small patch of skin and test before using if you have delicate skin.)

2. Salt water gargle

Salt water is helpful in soothing the itch as it reduces swelling and itching. However, assuming that salt water can kill the viruses is not advisable as there is no proper evidence on the same.

You can consume this by adding some fibers in your chai or with some honey.
