A case was filed against him for flouting the rules, a senior police offer said

A man of 72 years of age was found to be missing after returning from Kazakhstan at Indira Gandhi International airport. He was traced and was sent for 14-day home quarantine, police stated on Sunday.
The man named Harjeet Singh came from Almaty to Delhi on flight number AI 1916 on Saturday and was not found at the entry gate for screening at Terminal-3. He resides in Dilshad Garden, they stated.
Yamuna Vihar sub-divisional magistrate staff had informed about it.
The man’s act of skipping the screening process was deliberate after which he needed to be quarantined institutionally according to the guidelines given by MHA.
A case was filed against him under Indian Penal Code’s and Epidemic Act’s relevant sections, a senior police officer stated.
The man had given incorrect address and contact number, the investigation revealed. He was tracked using a CCTV footage of the vehicle in which he travelled home from the airport. He was caught in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and was sent immediately for 14-day home quarantine by the authority.
