Swasari Coronil to be sold as immunity booster

The drug will be available across the country

Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali had launched Swasari Coronil drug for curing Covid-19 disease which arose a lot of controversy and being investigated by the medical experts of the government will be sold in the country, said Yoga baba Ramdev today. He claimed that the drug could be sold without restriction as Covid-19 “management”.

The government last week had questioned Pantanjali on its claims that the drug can cure coronavirus infection by seeking reports of clinical trials that Ramdev claimed to be “100%” effective.

Ayush Ministry has granted confirmation that the Patanjali product can be sold, but not as a Covid-19 cure, said News agency Press Trust of India. “AYUSH Ministry has only given permission to sell this particular formulation as an immunity booster, not as a medicinal cure for COVID-19”, the ministry said.

The word “treatment” is not used, said Ramdev. “Ayush Ministry said Patanjali has done appropriate work for COVID management. It said Patanjali has started working in the right direction. We have procured a license for these medicines from the state department which is connected with Ayush Ministry. The treatment word is not used. These medicines have no metallic items”, he said, as per ANI’s report.

“We have no disagreement with Ayush Ministry. There is no restriction on Coronil, Swashhari, Giloy, Tulsi and Ashwagandha. I thank the Ayush Ministry and the Narendra Modi government”, he added.

An FIR was filed against Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna, CEO and others in Jaipur.

“It seems that work of Yog and Ayurved inside India is a crime. FIRs have been lodged at hundreds of places in the same way cases are registered a traitor and a terrorist” Ramdev said.

“In three days, 69 per cent, 100 per cent patients tested negative in 7 days. We submitted data to the Ayush Ministry. We have submitted research of our clinical trials to Ayush Ministry. Our research is in line with all protocols”, he added.

He further added, “We have done clinical trials on coronavirus. We have completed three-level research of more than 10 diseases including hypertension, heart diseases, asthma, arthritis, dengue, chikungunya, swine flu. We are not doing research on virology for the first time”.
