PM Modi undid decades of darkness, he says

Today is the first anniversary of Article 370 abrogation. Jammu and Kashmir’s special status was removed and the state was divided into two union territories, namely Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
He tweeted, “Ushering in justice, peace & prosperity for common man. PM @NarendraModi ji undid decades of darkness to bring development & opportunities to Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Abrogating Article 370, HM @AmitShah ji unified nation & empowered people of these UTs to shape their future”, on Wednesday.
The security in the area has seen a great improvement as the locals have been supportive, according to Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officers. Last year the number of brutal events that occurred was 198. This year the number has reduced to 120. There were almost 532 stone-throwing episodes reported in 2018 and 389 in 2019. This year the statistics has reduced to 102.
The security forces are always on high-alert which is the reason why terrorists cannot attack by grenades. The number has reduced from 52 to 21 this year in comparison with last year. The callings for strikes and bandhs have also greatly reduced from 30 to 4 in a year.
Rs 25 lakh Block Development Fund has been generated in order to bolster the democratic mechanism and the same has been approved on Tuesday by Jammu and Kashmir administration.
Lieutenant Governor Girish Chander Murmu has taken the decision to boost empowerment of Jammu and Kashmir’s panchayati raj system, said Rohit Kansal, government spokesperson.
