NCB: Rhea Chakraborty is an active member of drug syndicate

The actress is going to be produced before the Magistrate from Mumbai’s NCB office through video conference. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the remand application stated that Rhea is an active member of a “drug syndicate” and she, along with Sushant, used to take care of the finance to procure drug.

She has confessed that she was involved in drug procurement along with management of the money, and assistance of Showik Chakraborty, Dipesh Sawant and Miranda in the process.

NCB arrested Sawant as he involved in drug procurement and handling, along with Showik and Miranda. Rhea has also revealed that the drugs were procured for Sushant’s consumption.

Sawant has stated that Rajput and Chakraborty together handled the money-related issues for buying the drugs.   

Basit Parihar supplied drugs to Sushant’s staffer Dipesh Sawant through Kaizen Ibrahim, stated Showik according to NCB. Showik delivered the drugs with the help of Zaid, Basit and Kaizen, NCB stated. Rajput apparently helped in the deliveries and Rhea kept track of all the payment according to Showik’s statement.

Samuel Miranda’s confession in the NCB’s remand application said that Sushant was involved with Rhea in financial matters. Dipesh stated that as per Sushant’s instructions, the drugs were being received.

“Rhea Chakraborty will be produced before magistrate shortly. We don’t need her custody remand so we will seek judicial custody. We are not asking for her custody remand as whatever we wanted to cross with her, we have done already”, Ashok Jain, NCB’s Deputy Director General (DG), South-Western Region said.

“We will oppose bail to her. We are only seeking judicial custody but we don’t support the bail. Rhea was sent for a routine medical check-up. She tested negative for Covid-19. Whatever she told was sufficient for the arrest. We have arrested her, it means we had enough”, he continued.

NCB has arrested her and she is the 9th one arrested with respect to the ongoing case.
