Sharbari Dutta is the daughter of Ajit Dutta, a well known Bengali poet. Her talent in fashion designing came to the fore soon after she passed out of college. She carved a niche for herself in the realm of men’s fashion and excelled in designing ethnic wear for men. Her label showcased a unique fusion of modernity and ethnicity in terms of color and fabric and brought about a change in the notion that men have very limited sartorial choices.

In the later years, Sharbari Dutta had launched her own fashion brand Shunyaa that has several outlets across Kolkata. Gradually she made her mark in the realm of women’s wear too and was often seen in the various fashion shows organized in Kolkata.
