Prithvi-II short-range ballistic missile testing done on Wednesday

Short-range, ballistic, liquid-fueled space missile ‘Prithvi-II’ has undergone test firing recently and it had been a successful test firing on the part of India.
This missile’s nocturnal test firing was executed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) from the ITR (Integrated Test Range), Balasore, off the Odisha coast.
The missile successfully achieved its pre-decided mission objective as chalked out by the Strategic Forces Command. This single-state, ballistic missile was brought into existence by the DRDO around the 1990s and first half of the 2000s and its development was but the results of the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program.
The service of this missile was initiated for the first time in the year 2003. The missile’s operational range is of about 350kms and may alternatively be equipped with about 500-1000 kg nuclear or the conventional warheads.
