After a power-packed showing in the Rajasthan Royals (RR) VS Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) match of the IPL 2020 pacers Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi expressed their gratitude for the Kolkata Knight Riders management for supporting them and trusting them even when their injuries were taking a toll on their performance on field.
KKR managed to score 174 runs in the match against the RR, riding on the superb knocks from Eoin Morgan and Shubman Gill. In the match’s 2nd innings the pacers of the KKR team proved to be a woe for the top order of the RR team with their performance. The bowling of young KKR pacers such as Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi were showcased good length and lines and posed enough challenge for the batters of the RR team.
Post the match, Shivam Mavi said, “It felt really good to dismiss both Samson and Buttler. I bowled the ball as I had planned to do. It feels really nice to spend time with the likes of Russell and Cummins. We have mixed up with them, they are always around with us. It feels really good when Venky Mysore sir and Shah Rukh Khan sir come to watch us play. We were injured but the management showed faith in us and we are grateful for that”.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti too echoed similar sentiment while saying, “I’m feeling very good. Today I got my debut wickets. The management has backed us for two years. I did not play but still the management backed me. Whenever I needed something, the management provided it to me”.
