Rhea Chakraborty Files Complaint Against Neighbor With CBI

Her Neighbor in Trouble Now

Wednesday, 14th October 2020

Actress Rhea Chakraborty has lodged a complaint against her neighbor with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). In the complaint she has accused her neighbor of coming up with "patently false and bogus allegations... to mislead the investigation" related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe.

Rhea Chakraborty, who was blamed of filthy conspiracies and was subject to bad trolling related to her alleged dubious role in the death of Mr. Sushant Rajput also expressed her wrath and complained against various "media channels (that) carried false and bogus stories without any material to substantiate... to achieve their own ends".

In the letter to CBI Ms Rhea Chakraborty stated that the allegation of her neighbor - "that the late Sushant Singh Rajput had dropped me to my residence in his car on June 13" - was but "utterly false".

"... said conduct makes a prima facie case punishable... with imprisonment for a minimum of seven years," Rhea wrote in her letter, further adding that recording of such "false and bogus stories" presented by certain media channels and platforms was being attached .

As per sources, it was revealed on Sunday that the neighbor could not substantiate the claims made by her.

Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra flat in Mumbai the very next day. The CBI officials confronted the neighbor who made such a claim and asked her to provide evidence but she failed.

Consequently she was warned by CBI for spreading such rumors. Last week Rhea was released from Byculla Jail on bail. She had been in jail for about a month. During that time and before and after she vilified by few media platforms. This the actor believes has resulted in the snowballing of the matter paving the way for her and her brother’s arrest by the NCB and the harassment of her family by the media people.

"We will be forwarding to the CBI a list of people who made fake and false claims on TV and electronic media, including carrying mobile recording and fake stories... with particular reference to Rhea Chakraborty," Mr. Satish Maneshinde, her lawyer said in his statement.

"We request CBI to take legal proceedings against them for misleading the investigation," Mr. Maneshinde added.

After the granting of bail by the High Court that contradicted the claim made by the NCB that she had been "an active member of a drugs syndicate", Satish Maneshinde, Rhea’s lawyer said that she would be fighting back against all who tried to defame her through false claims.
