• In Russia a daily spike of 14, 231 covid-19 fresh cases has been recorded.
• PTI reports that the positivity rate for covid-19 infection is currently below the national average in 20 states.
• Confirmed covid-19 cases increased by nearly 5,132 to reach 334,585 on this Tuesday, data from Germany’s Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases revealed. The reported covid death toll increased by 43 in Germany.
• Plea lodged before the Calcutta high court requesting to stop the Durga Puja celebrations to be heard this week.
