Hyderabad rains claim 32 lives so far!

Nearly 32 people died in Telangana on this Wednesday after torrential rains and much destruction in the state due to a massive depression that moved across the state. Reports of excessively heavy rains came from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Northern Karnataka.
Hyderabad, the capital city of Telengana witnessed huge flooding of the roads, streets and lanes that quite resembled virtual rivers. As situation worsened, the Army came to the fore for carrying out relief and rescue operations.
The old part of the city was badly affected. As per weather reports, Andhra Pradesh has received 144% more rainfall than the usual across the past 2 weeks while the capital city of Hyderabad has received 404% more rainfall than the usual, the highest rainfall in the state.
CM of Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao is likely to conduct a high-level emergency meeting at 3.00 PM today to review the flood situation and discuss measures for prevention and relief.
The CM of Telangana has issued an order for the concerned officials to come well prepared for this emergency meeting as the state will need to submit a comprehensive report to the Central government on the losses and destructions caused due to the flood.
Meanwhile, country PM, Narendra Modi ji has promised help to the affected states. An unfortunate flood wash-away accident that took place in the Barkas area of the Old City was captured on camera. Later the man who was being washed away was saved by police along with few locals.
