The ministry declared on Monday morning that on a global level, the country has been recording one of the lowest cases per million people. As per a post on the social media, they wrote, “Fifteen states and union territories have cases per million lower than the national average”.
Even in the field of testing, the country has been taking long strides and touching new heights. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 12,56,98,525 samples have been tested for the coronavirus till November 15. Out of these, they further added, “8,61,706 samples were tested yesterday”.
A particular cause of concern for the government now happens to be the national capital. As per Union Home Minister Amit Shah, there was a meeting held on the current situation of Covid-19 in Delhi and came up with a number of steps that need to be adopted. This includes making available additional 300 ICU beds, doubling the number of daily RT-PCR tests and conducting house-to-house survey across the entire state.
He also added that some hospitals that come under the municipal corporation of Delhi have been identified for converting into dedicated Covid-19 hospitals. There will be additional doctors and paramedics and more tests.
New recoveries are also showing better numbers and has now touched a 93% mark.
