The much-awaited ‘Adipurush’ starring celebrated actors like Saif Ali Khan & Prabhas, went on the productions through a test shoot session in the month of January at a Mumbai Studio. The shooting of the movie was being carried out against the backdrop of a huge chroma as well as a set up of green screen as the movie is likely to explore an innovative motion capturing technology. However, after lunch today, a couple of fire flakes was spotted by a bystander outside of the studio and when the matter was investigated, it was learned that a fire had broken out on the movie’s sets.
The source tells, “It happened due to short circuit and the entire chroma set up went into ashes. However, it eventually came under control and no casualties have been reported. Om Raut and his entire team are safe.”
Prabhas as well as Saif weren’t a part of the shoot today. “The situation is under control now. Thankfully, all fire safety measures were in place on the set. A fire brigade was spotted on the sets within minutes of the fire and took the situation under their control. By god’s grace, no causalities have been reported,” assured the source.
In Adipurush, Prabhas is playing the role of a character that alludes to that of Lord Rama from the epic ‘Ramayana’ while Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of the character that alludes to that of Raavan. The movie’s release has been planned for the Independence Day of 2022.
While Prabhas is likely to join the movie’s shoot later this month, Saif is likely to join the shoot from next month; i.e. March.
The key lady to act in the role of Sita isn’t yet decided but the rumor is that anyone between Keerthy and Kriti Sanon could be picked for the role. Currently, Prabhas is busy shooting for Salaar, the famed gangster drama, and is in Hyderabad whereas Saif Ali Khan has just winded up his shoot for ‘Bhoot Police’, the horror-based comedy.
Adipurush is believed to be one of the mammoth movies to have emerged from Indian cinema, based on a scale and budget like never before. It is to be the second directorial venture of Om Raut after Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
