Bollywood stars share their condolences for the late actor Rajiv Kapoor

Bollywood celebs gave an outlet to their emotions on social media and recalled the late veteran actor Rajiv Kapoor, who passed away this Tuesday in the city of Mumbai. He was aged 58 at the time of his death.

Neetu Kapoor, sharing a picture of her bro-in-law on social media stated: "RIP." The actor succumbed to a heart attack, reported the news agency ANI.

Veteran playback singer, Lata Mangeshkar shared on Twitter: "Mujhe abhi pata chala ki Raj Kapoor sahab ke chote bete, guni abhineta Rajiv Kapoor ka aaj swargwas hua. Sunke mujhe bahut dukh hua.Ishwar unki aatma ko shanti pradan kare yehi meri prarthana. (I just got to know about the passing away of the talented actor Rajiv Kapoor, the youngest son of Raj Kapoor Sahab. I'm deeply saddened by the news. May his soul rest in peace)."

Actress Madhuri Dixit and Rajiv Kapoor had worked together in the movie Prem Granth – the latter’s directorial debut. While recalling late actor Rajiv Kapoor, Madhuri wrote: "I had the opportunity of working with Rajiv Kapoor in the film Prem Granth. It was a difficult subject which he handled with great maturity though it was his first film. Remembering the wonderful moments we shared. My heartfelt condolences to the Kapoor family. RIP."

Anil Kapoor recalled the late Rajiv Kapoor through some throwback memories and one of those memories featured another actor of the Kapoor family Rishi Kapoor too.

A pain-struck Sanjay Dutt mourned the demise of Rajiv Kapoor with the given words: "A soul gone too soon."

"Saddened to hear about the untimely demise of Rajiv Kapoor ji. My deepest condolences to the entire family," said Akshay Kumar in a tweet.

"What a terrible loss," said Priyanka Chopra in a tweet.

Other Kapoor family members like Neetu Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni too shared their posts:

"My heartfelt condolences. Sending love and light," said Namrata Shirodkar in her comment on Riddhima Kapoor Saini's post. Sister-in-law of Kareena, Saba Ali Khan wrote in her message: "My sincerest condolences for Chimpu ji. Wishing the entire family strength and courage during this time."

Soni Razdan wrote in her comment to Neetu Kapoor's post: "So sorry to hear this."

Sunny Deol wrote in his Twitter message: "Shocked to hear about Rajiv Kapoor's passing. Deepest condolences to the Kapoor family."

Many more Bollywood stars like Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tusshar too shared their messages for the late Rajiv Kapoor.
