Bigg Boss 14 draws to a close after 4 & ½ months of a blast of romance, fights & entertainment Rubina Dilaik, one of the topmost contenders of the show emerged as this season’s winner finally. She was awarded the trophy of Bigg Boss Season 14 and Rs 36 lakhs as prize money. Abhinav Shukla, former contestant and also the husband of Rubina was present during the night of the finale. They were actually the last finalized contestants of this season’s Bigg Boss.

Rubina, who had entered the Bigg Boss house with her husband Abhinav Shukla, had experienced a roller-coaster ride during her stay in the house of Bigg Boss. At the launch of the show, Rubina faced rejection. Also, she even took to challenging the Bigg Boss in the show’s initial days. One after another, she faced challenges in the course of the show but her spirit stayed indomitable always.

Her disagreement with Salman Khan, the show’s host over the 'seaman's remark made by Khan for her husband, Abhinav was a noteworthy incident. The actress was much hurt by the remark and gave vent to her disappointment openly. She even announced that she would quit the show. However, she later changed her mind as her husband Abhinav convinced her not to quit.

The most challenging phase of Rubina’s stay at the Bigg Boss house was when Rubina spilled the beans about her tumultuous marriage and how she and her husband was about to get divorced. However, with the passage of time, the bond between the two improved remarkably and both Rubina and Abhinav have decided to have a grand white wedding post the show.

Rubina’s fighting spirit was evident in every task assigned to her at the Bigg Boss house and she always gave her very best. She was significantly vocal all through her stay at the Bigg Boss house and never ever hesitated to speak her mind out. For this, she was often derided by her fellow contestants at the show and even by the show’s host sometimes. While few of the contestants accused Rubina of harboring a superiority complex, there were many others such as Aly Goni, Sara Gurpal, Nikki Tamboli who praised her lovable attribute.

In just no time Rubina turned out to be very popular with the viewers. People started admiring her for her spirit and strength. She showed enough courage to accept her flaws and follies and even sincerely tried to mend those. She proved her qualities and showed all that she indeed deserved to win the trophy.

On the night of the finale, both Rubina and Abhinav performed. They danced together on a romantic number. Many other ex-contestants too performed at the finale night.
