Team India Captain hits an Instagram milestone and thanks to his fans for that!

Virat Kohli’s enormous fan following is known to all. On this Monday, the celebrated skipper of team India reached the 100 million fan-following on Instagram, a reputed social networking site.

With this unique and new feather in his cap, Virat Kohli is now at par with Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus striker, with Neymar, the celebrated Brazilian footballer, with Lionel Andrés Messi, the famed professional Argentine footballer, with Beyonce, the reputed singer-songwriter among many others in the elite club of the100-million fan following.

Kohli is the first entity from India to hit the record of 100 million Instagram followers and he is even the first Indian cricketer to achieve that milestone.

"You have made this journey beautiful. Feeling blessed and grateful for all the love," said Virat Kohli while thanking the fans for allowing him to hit the100-million fan following Instagram mark.

Kohli posted a video in an attempt to highlight a few of his fond posts on the Instagram handle that also symbolized some very important landmarks in the life of Kohli. The video is captioned with the phrase "milestone achieved together".

The video portrays a childhood photo, a wedding day photo of Kohli, and another photo with his mom. It also showcases a gym photo, one in company with the Test team of India and another with an aged fan, aged 87 whom Kohli had met at the time of World Cup 2019.

Furthermore, the montage features a photo of Kohli being awarded the Khel Ratna from Ram Nath Kovind, the President, and then winds up with a photo of the team India captain in a sports stadium, rejoicing along with his fans.

Kohli is in the city of Ahmedabad currently and is warming up for the fourth and final Test against Team England, which starts this Wednesday.

This is going to be Kohli’s 60th Test Cricket match as the team skipper, and he will then equal the record of MS Dhoni as the highest number of test cricket matches captained for team India.
