Covid-19 infection in Maharashtra has experienced massive surge in the recent times and in such a scenario its no wonder that the tinsel town of Mumbai that houses the famed Bollywood film industry have thousands of people infected with the deadly coronavirus. The glamorous world of Bollywood isn’t spared either and so, every now and then we get news of celebs of the B-town who are infected with the coronavirus. Recently, Akshay Kumar, the famed and one of the most popular actors of Bollywood has tested positive for Covid-19. His reports were confirmed on Sunday.
A day afterwards the actor informed that he has been admitted to the hospitals for the same. In a Twitter message on the Monday morning, the Laxmii actor thanked his well wishers, fans and followers for praying for him. "Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working," tweeted the actor. In another statement, the 53 year old actor further added that he has been hospitalized just to take enough precaution but is hoping to go back home very soon: "I am doing fine but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon, take care."

On the Sunday morning, actor Akshay Kumar told his fans and the world about his newly contracted covid infection through a statement that read: "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself." The actor was initially in home quarantine, as per his statement: "I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care." In his tweet, Akshay Kumar asked those who were in his vicinity in the recent past to get themselves tested: "I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care."
Very recently, many other celebs of the B-town like Fatima Sana Shaikh, Milind Soman, Govinda, Alia Bhatt, Paresh Rawal among others have tested covid positive. Celebs like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Malaika Arora and Sanjay Dutt have received their vaccine for the covid-19 infection.
As far as the work front is concerned, Akshay Kumar has a host of movies queued-up for release – Prithviraj, Ram Setu, Raksha Bandhan and Bachchan Pandey
