Caption of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team, Virat Kohli was spotted rallying his fellow teammates ahead of the IPL 2021 opening tournament against the Mumbai Indians. The RCB team shared a video on the social media platform of Twitter in which RCB Captain Kohli is shown delivering a pep speech for his teammates, encouraging the new faces in the team to perform well in this season’s IPL.

"I am backing you, the management is backing you, players who have been selected, we believe they are going to contribute to the culture that RCB has and do the plans we want to execute on the field. If we all believe together, we can do some really special things this season," said Virat Kohli.

The captain skipper from Royal Challengers Bangalore team further told that he is hoping that the entire squad will be playing with passion, be it in their practice session or in their game drills.

"The only thing I expect from the guys is to make most of the time whether it is practice session, game drills, needless to say I expect the guys to play with intensity. That's the way we've always played and that won't change," added Captain Virat Kohli.

The RCB team arrived at the playoffs the previous year and Virat Kohli thinks that the RCB squad has turned far stronger as many capable, new players have joined the RCB setup.

The RCB captain also feels that the players are far more match-prepared this year for this season’s IPL as they have become habituated with the bio-bubble life plus they come with an adequate amount of the gaming time which they lacked prior to the 2020 IPL.

"Last year was a great step in the right direction for us and I feel like our squad is even stronger this year. I expect good things to happen again," Kohli observed.

"They have played a lot of cricket coming into this IPL. And they have gotten used to playing in this environment but as I said having had enough game time in the recent past, certainly gonna help players be more match ready this year than probably would have been the case last time," added Kohli

A good and impactful start against the Mumbai Indians is all that Virat Kohli and his team are hoping for at this point of time.
