Thursday, 15th April 2021

The Mi QLED TV 4K 75-inch television from Xiaomi India will be launched in India on April 23. It will be the largest Smart TV from the company in India till date and is also likely to come with the highest price tag from Xiaomi ever since they entered the Indian markets with their offerings of a television range back in 2018.

In a similar approach that Xiaomi has adopted with its range of phones, they have kept their Mi TVs on the slightly higher end of the market, and the Redmi TVs have been made relatively more affordable. Thus, if you are on a budget the new Xiaomi Mi QLED TV – 75 inches might not come within your range. However, if you are someone who loves to own posh, luxurious gadgets to adorn your living space or office room and if money is not a constraint for you, then definitely you can lay your hands on this new, high-end, and high priced product from the house of Xiaomi, a brand that needs no introduction indeed!

Where the features and specifications of the 75-inch Mi QLED TV are concerned, they will bear significant resemblance with the 55-inch variant in the same series that was launched in December last year.

The company took to social media platform Twitter to make its announcement of the upcoming launch of the product where they also suggested a date for the launch in India as of April 23.

The launch of the TV is to take place at an online event that is also expected to feature the launch of the Mi 11X series of smartphones.

The large screen size in this variant that is actually a follow up to the 55-inch model that was launched in the year 2020, is targeting to appeal to audiences and buyers that are looking for a theatre-like feel when they watch television in their homes. This also comes at an opportune moment for the company as going to the movies has become a difficult proposition at the moment with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Prices for the new television are expected to be under Rs. 1,50,000 — several other brands that offer televisions this size are priced significantly higher.

Expected specifications

  • 75-inch QLED screen
  • Android TV 10
  • Hands-free access to Google Assistant
  • Support for Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Audio
  • Support for the Mi Home app (an India specific feature)

Other details are expected to be revealed at the time of the launch of the product on April 23.
