Rajasthan Royals Players To Watch Out For...learn more...
Friday, 16th April 2021
Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be looking for their first win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season against Delhi Capitals in Match 7 at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. On Monday, RR lost a close match to Punjab Kings, losing by four runs. Despite captain Sanju Samson's century, Rajasthan fell short of Punjab's 222-run target. RR will be without Ben Stokes in their upcoming match against DC. Due to a fractured finger, the England all-rounder has been ruled out of the remaining matches. Due to his bat-and-ball skills, his absence could damage the team's chances in the long run this season. In addition, the winner of the 2019 ICC World Cup is a senior member of the squad with a lot of experience. In Stokes' absence, Rajasthan will be hoping that other players step up to the plate and produce consistent results, unlike last season, when they finished bottom of the league.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) players to keep an eye on:
Samson Sanju
During Match 4 against KL Rahul's Punjab team, the RR captain was in outstanding form. Samson slammed 119 off 63 balls, including 12 fours and seven sixes, as he chased down 222 runs. Despite the fact that he was unable to lead his team to victory, Samson will be hoping to continue his excellent form.
Last season, Samson got off to a similar start under Steve Smith's captaincy, but he quickly lost his stride and followed it up with a string of bad performances. He'll be attempting to be more consistent this season. He scored 375 runs in 14 matches during IPL 2020, including three half-centuries. Samson may be RR's star player this season, with the added pressure of guiding the franchise.
Shivam Dube
Shivam Dube, who joined Rajasthan ahead of the IPL 2021 season, is a big hitter who can also bowl medium speed. Last season, the all-rounder played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and scored 129 runs in 11 games. In the meantime, he took four wickets.
Dube scored 23 runs against Punjab in the current season. He also bowled a single over for 20 runs.
Chris Morris,
Another former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) cricketer, made an impression in the UAE last year. After missing the first few games of IPL 2020, he went on to take 11 wickets in nine games. Despite the fact that he only had a few runs last season, he is known for his hitting ability.
The South African pacer will be hoping to establish himself as a mainstay in RR's bowling department this season, and he's off to a good start. Morris took two wickets in four overs against Punjab Kings, conceding 41 runs.
