Match 12 of the Indian Premier League, 2021 between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals saw a dramatic turn with Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja nabbing five wickets between them in less than 4 overs, taking the Chennai team to victory by 45 runs.

The Royals team experienced tumult as spinners from the other side, Jadeja and Ali knocked their batting line-up in quick succession taking the likes of David Miller, Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag, Shivam Dube and Chris Morris out. The RR run chase got significantly rocked and the Chennai side managed to win by 45 runs.

RR saw their top batsmen go down like a pack of cards as they tumbled from 87/2 to 97/7 in less than four overs. Ravindra Jadeja exhibited a superb all round show by taking two wickets and grabbing four catches helping his team put up their second win on the board so far this season.

On the other hand, RR will have to put in their best in the matches to follow in order to maintain their place in the tournament.

Moeen Ali (3/7 in 3 overs) put the team in an advantageous position by picking up three quick wickets. Jadeja (2/28 in 4 overs) too gave the Chennai team a quantum leap when he took Buttler's wicket with a classic away turning delivery. He went on to take four important catches displaying his amazing fielding skills.

This was Chennai's second successive win after they beat Punjab Kings, while the Rajasthan side suffered their second loss in three matches.

RR did show some skilful bowling performance as the CSK team lost their batsmen going for big hits, towards the end. Chetan Sakariya (3/36 from 4) was the best bowler for them and Chris Morris finished off with 2/33 in spite of conceding 15 runs in his final over.

Bravo helped the Super Kings inch closer to their total score of 190 with his jaw-dropping six off the last ball of the innings from Mustafizur Rahman (1/37).

The CSK batsmen although took off to great starts, did not manage to hold on long. Du Plessis was the top scorer with 33 runs.

In his 200th match as captain of the CSK team, M S Dhoni, came in at No.7 but only managed two boundaries before getting taken out.
