BJP Chief Nadda meets other senior BJP leaders to discuss the Bengal polling campaign strategy
Wednesday, 21st April 2021
JP Nadda, the national president of the BJP party held a review meet on this Tuesday with the senior leaders of the party to have a discussion on the campaigning plan for West Bengal’s Assembly Election’s final three phases in the midst of the recent spike in the number of Covid cases in the state. Some of the notable figures of the BJP were present in the meeting. Among those present was the joint general secretary of the BJP party Shiv Prakash, the Co-in-charge of West Bengal, Amit Malviya, the General Secretary of BJP, Bhupendra Yadav and Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister.
Top BJP party sources informed the CNN-News18 channel that some parts of the campaigning may likely be done via the digital mediums. In the rallies of PM Modi which are all set to be held on the 23rd of April in the state of West Bengal, crowding cannot go beyond ‘500’ people. However, the necessary arrangements are likely to be made to make the speech of the PM available for all the others too across all the districts via the digital mode.
Amit Shah, the home minister of the Union government and JP Nadda the chief of the BJP Party are likely to visit the state of West Bengal for the purpose of campaigning for the final phase of polling with every covid-19 protocol right in place. As per party sources JP Nadda will be visiting the state around April 25th – 26th. All this occurrences co-incidentally come when the country is badly hit by a second wave of the covid-19, recording more than covid-19 cases per day.
The BJP political party has also made sure that hand sanitizers as well as face masks are supplied in adequate quantities to all those who are attending the election rallies in accordance with the guidelines from the union health ministry and from the Election Commission of India (ECI). Near about 6 crore hand sanitizers and face masks have been supplied to the state of West Bengal from the BJP’s end.
Last year when the assembly elections were been held in the state of Bihar both JP Nadda and Amit Shah had conducted multiple virtual rallies. Thus, campaigning via the digital mediums is nothing new for the party.
