The movie ‘Roberrt’ in which Darshan, the celebrated Kannada actor has acted will begin streaming on the platform of Amazon Prime Video from the 25th of April onwards. The movie was released on the 11th of March to the theatres across the state of Karnataka and pulled a huge lot of crowds despite the concerns of Covid-19 during that time. With the permission from the government for the filling up of 100% seats at the movie theatres the movie turned out to be an immense success at the box office. As per reports, the movie made an earning of as much as Rs 40 crores within a span of just 3 days for its release for the first time.

Celebrated Director Tharun Sudhir is behind the movie’s direction and storyline as he is the one who has also written the movie. In the past Tharun Sudhir had proved his mettle with the extraordinary movie ‘Chowka’ in the year 2017. The story of the movie Roberrt revolves around the character of a man who is trying to open a new chapter of his life after breaking all ties with his violent and chaotic past. He goes through a remarkable transition which the audience of the movie finds utterly intriguing yet fascinating. In the context of the movie, director Tharun Sudhir says, “Roberrt is an out and out action drama featuring audiences’ favourite Darshan.

His phenomenal performance has been the biggest plus point for the film. Roberrt has an interesting plot that will keep the audiences at the edge of their seats. The transition of our protagonist from Raghva to Roberrt is a visual delight to watch. Moreover, having Darshan as the protagonist and with his nation-wide fan base, I knew the film would be a crowd puller.”

Apart from Darshan, the other stars we get to see in the movie include Asha Bhat, Vinod Prabhakar, Ravi Kishan and Jagapathi Babu. Among the star cast of the movie, Asha Bhat is a debutant and this is her first movie.

“While the plot of the film will keep the audience engaged, my character in the film will be an interesting one to watch. It will give the viewers a chance to see me in different avatars – that of a gangster, a faithful friend and a good father,” said Darshan while commenting on the movie’s plot and the role played by him.
