Bollywood Celebs take to social media to circulate covid-related vital resources

As the country is hit by the fiercest second wave of the Coronavirus, many celebs of the B-town are taking to the social media to extend their helping hand. Actors such as Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Bhumi Pednekar, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Dia Mirza and Vicky Kaushal have been using their Instagram and Twitter handles for sharing vital info pertaining to the COVID-19 resources.

After being back from her Maldives trip, Alia Bhatt launched an initiative titled as ‘Circle of Hope’ in association with the journalist Faye D Souza in order to collate the resources that could prove useful for the patients of Covid-19 and the caregivers of such patients. On this Monday Bhatt made use of the social media to post a note stating that in the current situation, information and infrastructure are of utmost need. The social media handles in her name are full of vetted info regarding the Covid-19 resources.

Actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput have made use of their respective Instagram handles to provide detailed information regarding the resources such as the availability of hospital beds, availability of medicines, availability of free food and the helpline numbers.

 

Bhumi Pednekar, who had recently tested Covid positive, has made an appeal to her fans to make donations of plasma for saving the lives of the Covid patients who are in a critical state. Even she has circulated Covid related resources via her social media pages and has proved to be instrumental in locating oxygen cylinder suppliers and hospital beds for those who are in need.

Katrina Kaif had tested Covid negative last week and now she too has come forward in sharing info about the Covid-related resources vetted by BMC on the Instagram page she represents.

 

Dia Mirza is carrying right now and is isolating herself at her Mumbai residence. She too has been circulating info on Covid resources and has been listing out vaccination centers across Mumbai City from the very time our country began experiencing a dearth of oxygen supply and hospital beds in the early April. Also, she has posting details regarding food for people who are in need of it.

 

Sonam Kapoor, residing in London currently, has been circulating hospital list for the hospitals with availability of ICU beds.

 

While these various Bollywood actors are making an effort to reach out to the needy through their social media handles, actor Salman Khan is trying to extend a helping hand to the frontline staffs and professionals who are trying to help the people in distress by working 24/7.  Salman has recently distributed 5000 meal packs for the police personnel in the city of Mumbai, and is all likely to distribute more in the days to come.
