KL Rahul, the captain of the Punjab Kings, was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and was taken to the hospital on Sunday, according to a statement released by the franchise. KL Rahul went to the emergency room on Saturday after complaining of intense abdominal pain and not reacting to medications. "KL Rahul complained of intense abdominal pain last night and was taken to the emergency room after failing to respond to medicine. Further tests showed that he had acute appendicitis. It will be resolved surgically, and he has been admitted to the hospital for safety reasons "In a statement, PBKS said.
Later in the day, Punjab Kings will play Delhi Capitals in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 match in Ahmedabad. Mayank Agarwal, who missed the previous game due to injury, will lead the side against the Delhi Capitals in his absence.
When KL Rahul was taken off the field in their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chris Gayle took over as captain for a short time.
