CM Adityanath is wasting time, says Akhilesh Yadav

Akhilesh questions Adityanath’s moves…learn more…

Days after putting forth the allegations that various ministers of UP commissioned to monitor and analyze the status of Covid in the various UP districts went missing, Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief of Samajwadi Party, on this Monday, questioned the ongoing visits made there by CM Yogi Adityanath for that purpose.

It is, Akhilesh opined, a total "wastage of the government's resources and time" when people cannot be set free from Covid, besides the havoc wreaked by both black as well as white fungal infections.

"There is a shortage of medicines, injections and vaccines," said Akhilesh Yadav, while once more questioning and expressing doubts regarding the alleged disappearance of ministers deputed for monitoring the covid pandemic situation in the state’s various districts.

"No one knows where is the Team-9 or Team-11 constituted by the CM," stated the ex-chief minister.

"Instead of taking stock of the situation and giving time for the improvement, the CM has embarked on tours," said Akhilesh Yadav questioning sarcastically the CM’s ongoing visits across the various districts of the state to take note of the pandemic situation.

"Except for the wastage of the government resources and time, what is the significance of the CM's marathon tours?" he queried through a statement in this context.

After visiting the multiple districts of western UP including Muzaffarnagar and

Gautam Budh Nagar the previous week, CM Yogi Adityanath on this Monday embarked on trips to Gonda, Varanasi and Azamgarhn in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh.

"He (CM) is touring the state not for improving things but for achieving his own political goals," Yadav further said.

In the midst of all reports of a continual dearth of Covid vaccines, Akhilesh Yadav said, "The CM should also tell when only 35 lakh people have been given the second dose of vaccine, how does he claim that all people in will be inoculated by Diwali?"

"A large number of youths and elderly visit hospital but return without vaccination," he stated.

He also questioned what Yogi Adityanath was actually doing to deal with the dearth of resources in the various anti-Covid centres for arming the state against the pandemic’s possible next wave.
