Australian Cricketers like Pat Cummins, David Warner and Steve Smith, finally completed their 14-day quarantine period in Sydney and reunited with their loved ones and acquaintances. Australian Cricketers, Cricketing staffs and coaches who had participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021were made to go through 14 days of quarantine. They had to put up in their hotel rooms for 14 days post their return on a charter flight from Maldives. Cummins after exiting from their quarantine hotel was seen meeting Becky, his pregnant partner and the two hugged each other tightly. Their ‘hug’ video went extremely viral on the social media plat Twitter.

In another latest video, shared by Candice, wife of David Warner, on her Instagram stories we can see Warner meeting his daughters as his family greets him back in an emotional way. IPL franchise of David Warner, the SunRisers Hyderabad posted this video on their official Twitter handle.

The Australian player departed from India and headed to the Maldives after the IPL 2021 Matches were stayed due to multiple covid-19 infections among the players as well as staffs across the various IPL teams.

They were in Maldives for nearly 10 days and were waiting for the government of Australia to lift the temporary restrictions on Australian citizens who were in India from returning to their homeland.

Last week, it was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that the IPL Matches of the 2021 season will restart around September-October in UAE.

It was further informed by the BCCI that the above was decided after taking into consideration the "monsoon season in India in the months of September-October this year".

Only 29 IPL matches were played in the current 2021 season prior to the cessation of the tournament.

UAE had been the venue for the IPL 2020 season too and the trophy went to the Mumbai Indians who had defeated the Delhi Capitals team in the final match thereby clinching victory for the 5th time.
