Reliance Industries has announced the official date for its Annual General Meeting 2021 as of June 24. This is the company’s 44th AGM and it is expected to make some important announcements regarding new business undertakings as well as make a series of much-awaited launches, in the course of the meeting.

The country’s most high-rated company is likely to launch the eagerly anticipated ‘affordable’ Jio 5G phone during this time. According to news sources, it is believed that Reliance may also take this opportunity to announce a 5G rollout plan as well as make a formal presentation of the Jio book- an economical range of laptops that will be produced by the company.

In recent news about JioBook, there were talks about a budget laptop that Reliance is working on which will be called JioBook, along with the disclosure of some specifications of this laptop.

The new laptop is expected to work on Android-based custom skin, which will be called JioOS and can come with Jio apps. It is also said that JioBook will have 4G LTE support. The prototype of the laptop features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset and a Snapdragon X12 4G modem with a 1,366×768 pixel resolution display. The JioBook can be brought in at least 2GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB eMMC storage variants and a model can be equipped with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

The AGM slated for 1400 hours IST on June 24 will be open for streaming to the general public on YouTube. A live broadcast of the meeting will be open to all Reliance shareholders through JioMeet, as per the information floated by Reliance in a public announcement.

Priced at Rs. 16,999 the cheapest 5G smartphone in Indian markets currently is the Realme Narzo 30 Pro. The rates offered by Reliance will thus be highly competitive which in fact is not overly surprising for it, a brand known for its revolutionary outlook. In the last AGM, the company announced its partnership with Google, stating that the search giant had relied on Reliance’s Jio Platforms Ltd.
