Science, it seems, will be applied by BMC to stop the progress of the possible 3rd wave of the pandemic. BMC is likely to use the genome mapping technology to the analytics of machine learning. The BMC will use science — from genome mapping to machine learning analytics — to try and stymie the third Covid-19 wave, if and when it arrives. “We will have our genomic laboratory ready later this month and we are in the process of tying up with management institutes to analyse past Covid trends in the city to arrive at answers,” said Suresh Kakani, the additional municipal commissioner of BMC.
