The Supreme Court said Monday that a provision in the 2017 ruling notified by the center that allows the confiscation of animals from traders and carriers while processing trials in cases under the 1960 Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act is in violation of the rules the latter, who only allow such confiscation on the basis of a conviction.
