Few weeks back, Yash, a Pan India Star made an announcement…he said that he would donate Rs 5, 000 each to all members of the film fraternity of Karnataka. Now, another report has popped in stating that Suriya, another famed Kollywood actor has offered Rs 12.5 lakh to as many as 250 members of the fan club he has. While our country is fighting against one of the most gruesome pandemics ever, this kind of offers made by actors and other celebs to support the needy is actually inspiring all other to come forward to help the people lashed by the pandemic.
Even before this, Suriya along with Karthi, his brother and Sivakumar, his father had a meeting in person with CM MK Stalin and had made donations to extend their helping hand to the state of Tamil Nadu grapple with the pandemic. Suriya and his bro, Karthi are well known for their philanthropic streak. They are always eager to help people who are in need of it. Tales of their generosity make their rounds everywhere. While Suriya has been offering funds support to needy students allow them to continue with their higher education, his brother Karthi has been assisting the farmers.
Meanwhile, as far as the work front is concerned, Suriya still is basking in the glory of success of Soorarai Pottru, his last released movie that was directed by seasoned director Sudha Kongara.
Aparna Balamurali was Suriya’s co-star in the movie. Prior to lockdown, he was involved in the shooting for a movie directed by director Pandiraj. The movie was name after Suriya…it was titled as Suriya 40. The movie was produced under the banner of Sun Pictures. Another film project of director Vetri Maaran titled as Vaadi Vaasal is lined up for Suriya next. As per reports this movie will uphold the theme of bull taming, a traditional sport in Tamil Nadu.
