These routes will often lead you to dense wildernesses or to the lofty Himalayan locales.

Valley of Flowers Trek, Uttarakhand

This is indeed a lifetime experience for anyone who embarks on this trek. This fabulous trek route comes within Uttarakhand and it passes through the Valley of Flowers, a celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also visit the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara during the Valley of Flowers trek. This is one of the holiest shrines for the Sikhs and is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The trek route is about 55kms long and is perched at an elevation of 3659 meters above sea level. During the monsoon season, the vale gets cloaked with beautiful and rare Himalayan flowers which are indeed a feast for the eyes!

 

Rajmachi Fort Trek, Maharashtra

Though the state of Maharashtra has myriad trekking options Rajmachi Fort trek is the one that trekkers are most fond of. The route is about 15kms from the landmark of Lonavala. It is a one-day long trek. By trekking on these trails you can explore the two most ancient forts- the Manaranjan and Shrivardhan forts. From this location, you can get a mesmerizing view of the vale.

Dzongri Trek, Sikkim

The northeastern part of India is also highly popular for its amazing trekking routes. Dzongri trek route falls in Sikkim and it happens to be a 5-day long journey from the base camp of Yuksom covering a distance of about 21kms. The sights and sounds you encounter in the course of the trek is simply awe-inspiring. The majestic views of Mt. Kanchendzonga and Dzongri La peak will leave you feeling awestruck at nature’s sublimity.

 

Hampta Pass Trek, Himachal Pradesh

This is an ideal trek route for beginners. The trek starts from Kullu valley’s Hampta village and ends at Chatru in the Lahaul and Spiti valley. The route extends to 35kms and takes nearly 4-5 days to get completed.

 

Roopkund Trek, Uttarakhand

The trek commences from Lohajung perched at an elevation of 3200 m and conveys you to the amazing and bluish Himalayan Lake Roopkund located at an elevation of 5029 m. The lake is mysterious because it's home to numerous human skeletons found in its bed.
