Sudha Murty, an author and philanthropist, is recognised for her passion for books and simple meals. However, she is also a major fan of Kannada movies, which is a little-known truth.
She frequently observes and meets actors and film teams she admires and appreciates, and she expresses her gratitude to them in person. We had earlier met up with her for an open and honest conversation in which she expressed her love for movies. This is a follow-up to the previous interview.
"I watch Kannada and other movies on a regular basis. I recently saw Yogaraj Bhat's Dana Kayonu and enjoyed the message and storey; I also saw Prakash Raj's Idolle Ramayana, which was excellent; I also saw his Oggarane and Naanu Nanna Kanasu, both of which were equally good. I enjoy going to the movies.
Among the newcomers, Rakshit Shetty is one of my favourites. His Simpallag Ond Love Story was one of my favourites. The banter and writing were excellent. The music and lyrics were both excellent. Thithi and Century Gowda were two of my favourite characters.
At home, I dislike watching movies. I despise it when someone interrupts me in the middle of a thrilling scene. In the theatre, I'd like not be disturbed. But, as much as possible, I make it a point to read a book or watch a film every day," she admitted in an interview at the time.
