Rachita Ram has established herself as one of the most sought-after commercial heroines, having worked with nearly all of Hollywood's biggest names. However, the actress has recently broadened her range of roles by signing films that aren't solely about the classic heroine. In a recent interview with Bangalore Times, the actress expressed her desire to be a catalyst for more ladies to take up decent roles.

"If you don't play with roles, you'll never fulfil your potential," the actress told Bangalore Times. If Vijay Sethupathi hadn't decided to portray the role he did in Super Deluxe, he would never have won the National Award. He was willing to try new things. In my seven years on the stage, I've generally portrayed characters that fit into one category. So I believe it is past time for me to make a change. Why not join forces with the filmmakers who are creating fantastic characters? You never know who could be able to showcase your talent successfully; it might be a renowned senior director or a relative newbie; what matters is their vision." Rachita went on to say that she hopes to inspire more heroines to take on interesting roles. "Nayanthara plays a variety of characters in Tamil films; similarly, Manju Warrier plays a variety of roles in Malayalam films, and Samantha Akkineni and Anushka Shetty in Telugu films.

They're all doing something different. There is a lot of trepidation in our sector about trying new things, which I share. But I've told myself that we should give it a shot. Good films will always be accepted. Women-centered films can be more than just horror or cop roles. You may not succeed on your first try, but you'll never know unless you try. "You might even strike the target," she said, hoping to see.
