The Bombay High Court has deferred Kangana Ranaut's petition for passport renewal until June 25, and the actor has resorted to social media to express her thoughts on the matter.

“Mahavinashkari government has started my indirect harassment again, my request for passport renewal has been rejected because a tapori/roadside romeo named Munnawar Ali filed a sedition case (deshdroh case yes the irony of it is hilarious) on me by the way the case was almost dismissed by the court yet the court rejected my request for passport and the reason given is that the case was almost dismissed by the court yet the court rejected my request for passport and the reason given is that ‘my request is vague’ hmmmmmm.”

“Please note, when Aamir Khan upset the BJP government by calling India intolerant, no one took back his passport to stop his films or shoots,” Kangana Ranaut stated on her Instagram stories beside a picture of her Koo post. He was not mistreated or harassed in any way.

The hearing on Kangana's petition for a passport renewal was deferred by the Bombay High Court on Tuesday until June 25. “Her timetable may be modified accordingly,” the bench said, despite her counsel's request for an early date because she had to attend a film shoot.

“If the petitioner had been careful, she would have supplied all the data to the counsel,” they noted. The earliest date we can provide you is June 25.”

Following a few statements made by the sisters, Mumbai's Bandra police station filed a FIR against Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel under different articles, including sedition, in October 2020. The Passport Authority of India has raised objections to her passport renewal as a result of this FIR.

Kangana Ranaut is scheduled to head to Hungary for the filming of Dhaakad. She's also working on Thalaivi, Tejas, the Manikarnika sequel, and a film on Indira Gandhi.
