The eighth season of Bigg Boss Kannada will premiere on Sunday, February 28, 2021. The forthcoming reality show will be hosted by Sandalwood actor Kiccha Sudeep, who met with the media on Thursday in Bengaluru along with the show's producers.

Because the show takes place during the coronavirus pandemic, the producers have taken all necessary procedures to ensure that everyone participating in the production is safe from the virus. According to an ETimes TV report, the show will stick to the reality show's original format, with only celebrities entering the house as contestants. According to the report, the producers of Bigg Boss Kannada considered the expectations of the viewers when selecting the competitors.

To keep the show's buzz going, the candidates' names haven't been published, but according to the ETimes, the producers have hinted at a handful of them. A singer and a contender with a political history are expected to appear at the event. Inside the Bigg Boss house in Bengaluru, there will be two candidates from the film business, a comedian, and some television serial performers.

The majority of the competitors have worked in Kannada movies or television serials and come from an acting background. To assure complete safety, all candidates have been quarantined for the past two weeks and have taken the RT-PCR testing twice.
