Prithviraj Sukumaran, celebrated Malayalam actor-director is feeling quite upbeat regarding Cold Case; his upcoming movie which is scheduled to premiere on the platform of Amazon Prime Video.

At the time of an Instagram live session, Prithviraj Sukumaran, who puts the uniform on after a significant length of time in the movie Cold Case, remarked that, unlike the other films he acted in, he hasn’t actually acted in the role in a manner that would attract the audiences’ attention to his acting and far away from the narration of the story.

“Take, for example, Mumbai Police. That film is entirely based on the character Antony Moses. But, this is a plot-driven film. My character doesn’t have a lot of complexities and layers. Aditi Balan and I are just part of a film, which has a fast-paced, complex screenplay. So I don’t expect my character, in particular, to receive a lot of attention. We hope that the story and the film as a whole will be liked and discussed by people,” said Prithviraj during the live session on Instagram.

Prithviraj further stated that it didn’t take much of convincing and preparation for him to pick Cold Case, which undoubtedly fuses well the elements of horror and crime genres. “When I heard the story, it was an immediate yes for me as this was a hybrid genre film that was really well-written. Also, it has been a great learning experience for me,” Prithviraj added.

The movie Cold Case happens to be the first directorial venture of Tanu Balak, the cinematographer. Tanu Balak has shaped the movie up from the script of Sreenath V Nath.

The streaming of the movie Cold Case is likely to start on Amazon Prime Video from 30th of June.
