The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced on Tuesday that the states and union territories still have 78,44,885 COVID vaccination doses that need to be delivered.
According to the ministry, the Centre has delivered more than 31.83 crore vaccine doses to states and union territories so far.
"So far, the Government of India has delivered more than 31.83 crores (31,83,36,450) vaccine doses to States/UTs through the Government of India (free of cost channel) and direct state procurement categories. The overall consumption, including wastages, amounts to 31,04,91,565 doses (as of 8 a.m. today's data) "It was stated.
For the month of July, Delhi is looking for 45 lakh vaccination doses.
According to Aam Aadmi Party MLA Atishi, the Delhi administration has requested 45 lakh Covid vaccine doses from the Centre in July to maintain the existing immunisation pace of 1.5 lakh jabs per day.
She stated that the vaccination drive in Delhi has been accelerated, with approximately 1.5 lakh doses being administered every day for the past three days. In July, Delhi would require at least 45 lakh vaccination doses.
"The Delhi government has submitted a letter to the federal government urging that enough vaccines be provided for July. The increased vaccine supply would enable us to vaccinate roughly 70% of our people in Delhi and achieve herd immunity "She mentioned this while giving the Delhi government's daily vaccine bulletin.
