Rajpal Yadav, who has appeared in films like as Hungama, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Chup Chup Ke, and Phir Hera Pheri, among others, disclosed the reason for his name change in a recent interview. The comedian, who turned 50 in March, vowed to dedicate the remainder of his life to his father. Rajpal Yadav, the Dhol actor who was previously known as Rajpal Yadav, has changed his name to Rajpal Naurang Yadav. He also talked about how his father has always been an inspiration to him and shared stories from his youth.

RAJPAL YADAV EXPLAINS WHY HIS NAME WAS CHANGED

On March 16, Rajpal Yadav's 50th birthday, the actor decided to honour his father by adding his father's first name to his own. Rajpal stated to his wife about changing his name, "I have lived my life on my own terms for the past 50 years." But now I want to spend the rest of my life devoted to my father.”

The actor also talked about how this new adjustment has made him feel like a kid again.

During the conversation, Rajpal also discussed his favourite TV show, Mungeri Ke Bhai Naurangilal, and why he loves it. “I played the role of Naurangi in this TV show, which is identical to my father's name,” he explained. Mungeri Ke Bhai Naurangilal has always been near to my heart because of this similarity.”

RAJPAL WAS SCOLDED BY HIS DAD WHEN HE WAS A CHILD.

Rajpal revealed that his father has always been his inspiration, recounting a humorous incident from his boyhood. “When I was in fourth grade, my buddies and I used to collect fruits from a tree in the village,” he explained. A gust of wind knocked me off my feet one day as I attempted to climb the tree. I was dangling upside down, my foot hooked in one of the tree's limbs. My buddies had to summon my father to assist me in descending. My father was upset when he saw me and started taunting me to climb more trees.“
