Anshula Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor's sister, is very close to him. While he has bonded with his half-sisters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor since Sridevi's death in 2018, the actor recently claimed that Janhvi calling him "Arjun bhaiyya" is "extremely odd" and "fresh."

Arjun Kapoor was asked about an episode of Karan Johar's chatshow with Janhvi Kapoor in which the phrase "Arjun bhaiyya" was translated as "Brother Arjun" at a recent Clubhouse session. “The thing is, ‘Arjun bhaiyya' still sounds extremely strange to me, only because Anshula calls me ‘bhai' in a very strange way,” Arjun said, adding, “The thing is, ‘Brother Arjun' still sounds very strange to me, only because Anshula calls me ‘bhai' in a very strange way.” Arjun bhaiyya is a relatively new term. As a result, when Janhvi says it, it still feels brand fresh to me.”

He also stated that he has never requested that Janhvi refer to him by a certain name. “I guess Janhvi just calls me ‘Arjun bhaiyya' because I have never told her, ‘You should call me this' or ‘You should call me that,'” he stated.

Boney Kapoor's two children from his first marriage to Mona Shourie Kapoor are Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. Later, in 1996, Boney married Sridevi and gave birth to two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.

Following Sridevi's death in 2018 from an accidental drowning, the family got closer as Arjun and Anshula supported Boney, Janhvi, and Khushi through their difficult period.
