Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10T 5G Smartphone Launch Date in India Set For July 20

Xiaomi's latest offering, the Redmi Note 10T 5G has a confirmed launch day for its customers in India, July 20, announced the smartphone maker Monday.

This new addition to Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10 series will sit alongside the other existing models, the Redmi Note 10, the Redmi Note 10 Pro, and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. These had made their way into the country earlier this year.

The launch date of the Redmi Note 10T 5G in India was announced via video communication by Xiaomi India Communications Head Kasturi Paladhi. Along with this, the company has also unveiled a microsite that they created which will showcase the design of the soon-to-be-launched smartphone days before its actual inauguration.

Amazon also had floated a teaser last week of the launch of the Redmi Note 10T in India. Soon after the launch, the smartphone is expected to be put up for sale through their online portal along with some other channels, yet to be announced.

Although the price of the phone in India is still under speculation, it is believed they will compare with the variant that was launched in Russia last month, as indicated by initial teasers. In the Russian market, it came at a price tag of RUB 19,990 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. If translated into Indian currency, that would work out at approximately Rs. 20,000.

• The Redmi Note 10T 5G runs on Android 11 with MIUI on top
• Display- the smartphone features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) display with a 90Hz refresh rate
• Power- it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC along with up to 6GB of RAM
• Camera- there is a triple rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, along with a 2-megapixel macro shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor
• Front camera-  it also comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.0 lens
• Storage- the Redmi Note 10T 5G has up to 128GB of onboard storage
• Connectivity- The various options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack
• Battery and charging- It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
• Additional features- the phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor
