India will launch its first capsule taxi between Noida Airport and Noida Film City. According to the latest report, once the flight starts operating from Noida Airport, it will start operating on the runway. The capsule taxi has become a popular mode of transportation in several western countries, each car can accommodate 4 to 6 passengers. Through this project, India is also ready to try this way of travel.
It is reported that the Indian Port Railway and Ropeway Company (IPRCL) has submitted the final DPR (Detailed Project Report) to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) on June 13, 2021, for the capsule taxi project. The project will be around 14 kilometers. From Cinema City to Noida Airport.

According to reports, in March of this year, Yeida signed a contract with the central government agency IPRCL to prepare the DPR for the pod taxi project, which is expected to increase the connectivity between Jewar Airport and Cinema City.
In response, Yeida's executive director stated that this major project will provide a seamless connection between the residential and industrial areas between the Cinema City and Noida International Airport. He added that they have begun to analyze and study DPR to ensure that they can propose changes if necessary, and then submit them to the UP government for approval.
According to Yeida officials, it was previously proposed to build the project on an elevated corridor, and DPR later recommended that it be built on the ground. According to DPR, the corridor will pass through multiple departments, such as 21, 28, 29, 30, and 32.
