Shikhar Dhawan of India jumped two places to 16th after his unbeaten half-century against Sri Lanka in the first match, while Virat Kohli remained second in the latest ICC ODI rankings released on Wednesday.

Dhawan's unbeaten 86 in the first game of the ongoing three-ODI series in Colombo earned him 712 rating points and moved him up two slots, while Kohli has 848 points.

Another senior Indian batsman, Rohit Sharma, is third on the list with 817 points, trailing only Pakistan's Babar Azam (873).

The rankings took into account the three-match series between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, the third match between Ireland and South Africa, and the first two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) between Sri Lanka and India.

Among the bowlers, India's Yuzvendra Chahal (up four spots to 20th), Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga (up 22 spots to 36th), South Africa's Tabraiz Shamsi (up eight spots to 39th), Ireland's Simi Singh (up six spots to 51st), and Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani (up 23 spots to 70th) all advanced.

Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan and England middle-order batsman Liam Livingstone advanced significantly in the ICC T20 rankings after finishing as the leading run scorers for their respective teams in the three-match series won by England 2-1.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Rizwan has moved up to seventh place in the rankings after accumulating 176 runs in the series, including an unbeaten 76 in the final match in Manchester, performances that helped him move up four places.

The 29-year-old had risen to the top ten for the first time in his career following a Player of the Series performance against Zimbabwe in April of this year, and he has reaped the benefits of his continued hard work.

Livingstone has risen 144 places to 27th after appearing in just eight T20Is since his debut against South Africa four years ago. The 27-year-147-run old's total against Pakistan included his first international century, a valiant 43-ball 103 in the first match.
