A Twitter user recently shared photos of wine and beer bottles for pets, which made him laugh.

Even online marketplaces such as Amazon.in sell certain products, such as red and white wines, for less than Rs 500.

Rose wine, according to the portal, is a specialised blend of elderflower, nettle, ginseng, lime flower, and carrot created with the “advice of veterinary experts” for dogs and cats over a four-month period.

These products are marketed as "healthy infusions." They are "non-alcoholic, non-carbonated, and grape-free," making them a "perfect treat for those on four feet."

A white wine variant is described on the portal as a "refreshing tonic for dogs and cats that is alcohol free and contains no grapes." In contrast, beer is described as "healthy, alcohol-free, and non-carbonated."

However, it should be noted that it is not only alcohol that is toxic to dogs; “raisins and grapes are also not advised as they may cause adverse reactions in pets such as vomiting, seizures, and so on,” according to experts.

Surprisingly, the drinks originated in the United Kingdom, where they were developed under expert supervision as "safe pour-over food."

Do veterinarians recommend them?

Dr. Sidhu of Columbia Vets in New Friends Colony, New Delhi, stated that veterinarians only prescribe medically prescribed drugs. “This weather, in particular, can cause stomach upset in pets. As a result, I would not recommend such beverages,” he stated.
