Apple asks for user feedback for giving them a better OS

Apple comes up with an update to iOS, the iPhone’s operating system every year,  that enlivens the much sought-after phone. With their new iOS 15, it is not going to be any different as it is likely to impact the daily lives of iPhone users. Realizing this, the makers have decided to involve its customers, their views, ideas, and feedback, in making the service better.

Apple had showcased the iOS 15 a couple of months ago at WWDC 2021 along with the iPadOS 15, mac OS Monetary and watchOS 8. After that, they have been releasing beta versions, and currently, the iOS 15 is in its fourth public beta.

In an e-mail sent by Apple to those in the beta software program, they stated, “The iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS Monetary, tvOS 15 and watchOS 8 public betas are now available. As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you can help shape Apple software by test-driving pre-release versions and letting us know what you think.”

 Users have the option of becoming beta testers, which they can do completely free of charge. This will give them the chance to report bugs, experience new features, and see what the final public version of the software could be like.

When a user becomes a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, they will also get a chance to enroll their devices to access the public betas and test all their latest features. They will also get a chance to use the Feedback Assistant app whereby they can give their feedback directly to Apple.

It is however noteworthy here that beta versions are usually replete with bugs and hence may not always be a smooth ride as users may anticipate.

Apple also has mentioned this on their website where they wrote, “Please note that since the public beta software has not yet been commercially released by Apple, it may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not function as well as commercially released software.”
