Mirabai Chanu, an Olympic silver medalist, recently met Salman Khan, and the Bollywood star posted a photo from their meeting on his Twitter account on Wednesday night. Salman Khan congratulated the weightlifter on winning a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Salman Khan replied, "Happy for you silver medalist Mirabai Chanu." In his caption, he added, "It was a pleasure to meet you... Best wishes for the future." Mirabai Chanu responded to Salman Khan's tweet with the following: "Thank you so much, Sir Salman Khan. I am a huge fan of yours, and this was a dream come true for me." Mirabai Chanu became the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics. She lifted 202 kg (87kg+115kg) in total to win silver in the women's 49 kg category.

On the work front, Salman Khan was most recently seen in the film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, which received mostly negative reviews from both audiences and film critics. The film, which also starred Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, and Jackie Shroff, was Salman Khan's third collaboration with Prabhu Deva, following the 2009 film Wanted and the 2019 film Dabangg 3. The actor's next film will be Kick 2, in which he will co-star with Jacqueline Fernandez.

Aside from that, the actor will co-star in Antim: The Final Truth with his brother-in-law, actor Aayush Sharma (married to Arpita Khan Sharma), whose teaser was released earlier this year. The actor also produced the Satish Kaushik-directed film Kaagaz, which starred Pankaj Tripathi. He will also be seen as the host of Bigg Boss 15, the OTT version of which airs on Voot and is hosted by Karan Johar.
