Who is Cristiano Ronaldo?

Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese footballer, is widely regarded as one of the best players to have ever played the game, and his performances over the last decade have only served to reinforce that belief among football fans. Ronaldo grew up in Madeira, Portugal, but after graduating from Sporting CP's youth system, he was immediately signed by English club Manchester United after their legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson spotted his talent as a winger. Ronaldo spent six years at Manchester United, where he honed his skills as a skillful, quick, lethal winger capable of scoring goals and creating chances for his teammates. He won numerous trophies for Manchester United and shone for Portugal before joining Real Madrid as the world's most expensive player. He has broken some of the most important goal scoring records that had stood for many years at Real Madrid, as well as led the club to important trophies. Ronaldo is also the captain of the Portuguese national team, which won Euro 2016—their first major tournament victory. He has also received numerous individual awards, cementing his position as one of the world's best footballers.
