Despite the high demand, Asus is taking time to bring Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip to India. However, as for the local market, Taiwan, Asus seems to have big plans. More than four months after the initial launch of the ROG Phone 5 gaming phone, ASUS launched the ROG Phone 5s series. The new ROG Phone 5s includes two phones, ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro, both of which are just minor updates of ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate Edition.

The biggest change here is the processor. The new ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor, which is a slightly better version of the Snapdragon 888. Since ROG phones represent the latest and greatest in smartphones, ROG Phone 5s ROG Phone 5s Pro will do this for the players. The design of these two phones is very similar to the original ROG Phone 5, but there are some subtle changes to the design that you will only notice when the two phones are placed side by side.

Asus ROG Phone 5s, ROG Phone 5s Pro price

The basic model of ASUS ROG Phone 5s is priced at TWD 29,990 (approximately Rs 80,000), equipped with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. However, the second variant with 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage is priced at NT$33,990 (approximately Rs 90,000). You can get color choices of Phantom Black and Aurora White. ROG Phone 5s Pro is priced at NT$37,990 (approximately Rs 1,00,000), with only 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage configuration, and only Phantom Black is available.

ASUS ROG Phone 5s is equipped with a 6.78-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED display, which uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, refresh rate up to 144 Hz, touch sample rate up to 360 Hz, a maximum brightness of 1200 nits, and supports HDR content and HDR10 +. The screen has no notches or holes, just like other ROG phones. ROG Phone 5s is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor, with up to 18GB of RAM. The storage space of ASUS ROG Phone 5s cannot be expanded, so you can make better decisions with the storage variants. There's an Adreno 660 GPU under the hood for flagship graphics.

In terms of software, ASUS ROG Phone 5s is equipped with Android 11 with ROG UI on top. You will see a series of three cameras on the back of the phone. There's a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, the ROG Phone 5s has a 24-megapixel camera on the top bezel. It supports video recording up to 8K, which means that the camera experience on the phone can be very good. ASUS ROG Phone 5s has a 6000mAh battery, just like ROG Phone 5, and it supports 65W wired fast charging and 10W wireless charging.

Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro specifications

As the name suggests, ROG Phone 5s Pro has some Pro features. First of all, there is an auxiliary PAMOLED ROG Vision display on the back of the phone. This screen displays the date and time, incoming calls, battery level, and other beautiful features. This is a color screen, which is different from the black and white panel on ROG Phone 5 Ultimate Edition. ROG Phone 5s Pro has game controls on the back to help you navigate the game. The ROG Phone 5s Pro case has an AeroActive Cooler 5 with an external cooling fan controlled by a dedicated button. ASUS also provides support for ROG Phone 5 accessories on ROG Phone 5s. The rest of the ROG Phone 5s Pro specs are the same as the ROG Phone 5s.
